Sometimes audio gets distorted on video import. It's a free software, and the expectations are really low. Also, it can transcode and re-encode a video into different formats.
It's not for serious and advanced video editing work, so one must appreciate the simple things- intuitive, cross-platform- it works on both Windows and Mac.
It is great for simple video edits, trimming and splicing videos losslessly. One of my favourite free software, period! It has its issues, like it used to crash all the time but is relatively stable now. I recommend using it primarily for lossless editing - you can cut and merge video clips and add filters. It does not require any 3rd party audio/video software such as codecs etc. It works with all the popular video file formats. It performs all the everyday office tasks such as an uploadable promo video creation. It is very easy to use, you should not be a video editing professional or a container/codec guru. Of course it lacks the might of the professional video editors like Adobe Premiere, but any everyday office task can be performed with it, and all that for free. staff, just choose the target file extension like MP3 or AVI and save what you have edited. You can avoid bothering yourself with all that containers, codecs etc. It's user interface is very similar to the earlier popular but outdated now VirtualDub. It is very handy when you are to make a video promo quickly from some filmed material and upload it to you corporate website or social network page. Commentaires : Avidemux is an easy to use and functional tool for all the basic tasks of the video files editing: you can cut, merge, subtitle, add logo, apply soundtrack, encode, add generic effects etc.
